Spring 2024 through Summer 2024: I've been doing a lot of field recording using hydrophones, condenser and shotgun mics in various locations for different projects: At urban beaver dam sites in Amiskwaciy Wâskahikan/Edmonton. Along several tidal pools in Victoria, the unceded territory of the Lkwungen (Lekwungen) peoples, and the Songhees, Esquimalt, and W̱SÁNEĆ First Nations, and am planning more recording along the Athabasca and North Saskatchewan Rivers.
May 1, 2024: I participated for the fifth time in REVEIL 11, Reveil is a collaborative sound and radio project that circles the Earth on live audio streams at daybreak for over 24 hours to coincide with Dawn Chorus Day. Organized by Soundcamp Cooperative with Stave Hill Ecological Park (TCV) and the Acoustic Commons network: Full Of Noises (Cumbria UK) · Locus Sonus (Aix FR) · Radio CONA (Ljubljana SI) · HMU (Crete GR) · Cyberforest (Tokyo JP), and strreaming from the live soundmap project operated by Locus Sonus at ESAAIX, Aix-en-Provence. My previous REVEIL broadcasts include: Reveil 10, streamed online using Izicast from Amiskwaciy Wâskahikan, Habitat67, Montreal; Reveil2021, “Geese-Niska Call” performing with w/Chenoa Anderson and Ian Crutchley, and streamed online via LocusSonus (FR) using Locuscast from Amiskwaciy Wâskahikan / Edmonton, Alberta; Reveil2020, “The End of the World/Keillor Point,” streamed online via LocusSonus (FR) using Locuscast from Amiskwaciy Wâskahikan / Edmonton, Alberta;  and Reveil 2018, streamed online via Locus Sonus (FR) using Locuscast from Elk Island National Park (a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve), Alberta.
August, 2024: I will be at CAMP Next Level Arts Residencies in Aulus-les-Bains, France for the “Listening Around The Surface” workshop with the amazing Jana Winderen.
In my studio, besides the sound and video work for the above recording, I'm working on some video, print-sculptures, and some metal enameling.
Will post when I have some progress pix!
